You started out as a producer. You produced such hit songs as Game’s “One Blood.” How did you get that to happen?
Well what happened was we made that beat in my crib. I had made that beat in about 20 minutes and we had already produced music for Fab and Juelz. So I just got my team together and said “yo we need to travel” because I wanted to shop the beat around to other places. So I decided to go to L.A. At the time I was partnered up with another producer. I ain’t gonna mention his name, but we went out to LA and we went to Geffen gave them the joint. We got the hit little single. 2 weeks later they said it was going to be the first single and they were going to release it July so I was just like, “lets go.”
