In a recent on article written by Universal Recording Artist, Michael Barber, he stated that Hip Hop newcoming, Drake, was simply acting. Michael who was the first to report that Kinfolk Kia Shine was writing for Drake, took a lot of internet knocks for doing so. Drake even issued a statement saying, talking about points on a records is "distasteful".
Michael Barber who writes daily for the Examiner and his own blog has been featured on songs with heavyweights like, Akon, Nappy Roots, and the 2007 Sony Remix with hip hop legend, Nas.
Michael whose 2008 release, Motion Picture Mayhem, was a huge internet success download over 40 thousand times on 200 websites, and it captured Michael a nationwide distribution deal with Universal/Hoopla Media.
Motion Picture Mayhem 2 is set for a Halloween release and the lead single, "Swayzzed" featuring Akon is set to release within two weeks. His first release on Universal Records, "Shotguns and Canned Goods" has a December 21st release, and Michael is in the studio working with Rza of the Wu Tang Clan and also has been working with Morris Day.
We only hope that the beef between Michael Barber and Drake stays on wax, as both young superstars will have many years ahead of them in the rap game.
Drake is currently recording his debut album after moving 47,000 copies of his mix tape.
